CM Saini slams Rahul Gandhi, questions Congress’ record in Haryana

Launching a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday accused him of visiting the state for “tourism” rather than addressing pressing issues. Saini claimed Rahul Gandhi’s visit, accompanied by his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, lacked concrete plans for Haryana’s development.

At a public meeting in Kaithal, Saini highlighted the BJP government’s achievements over the past decade, emphasising “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas”. He challenged Rahul Gandhi to explain why the Congress failed to deliver during their tenure, affecting 2.80 crore people.

Saini criticised former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for failing to address issues during his rule. He urged Rahul Gandhi to respond to Haryana’s youth, farmers, and women, who were allegedly ignored by the Congress government.

Saini questioned the track record of the Congress on job distribution, accusing them of nepotism and bribery. He alleged that farmers’ land was looted under the Congress rule, and claimed that women in the state are seeking reply to unfulfilled promises made in Himachal Pradesh. He also criticised the party for releasing its manifesto multiple times, showcasing its ineffectiveness.

Saini has asserted that there is no infighting in the BJP and his party will form a government for the third time as there are no takers for the Congress's "jhooth ki dukan".
