Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser butchers Priyanka Chopra's name

by · Mail Online

Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser has been roasted online for awkwardly pronouncing Priyanka Chopra Jonas' name wrong live on air.

The comedian, 41, is hosting the star-studded ceremony, which is taking place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California, for the second year in a row.

But things turned uncomfortable when she introduced Chopra as a presenter... and completely butchered her name.

Instead of calling her Priyanka Chopra Jonas, she said 'Priyanka Chopra Jones', and fans were quick to mock her over the mistake online.

'Did she really say Priyanka Chopra JONES instead of JONAS?' one X user asked.

'Who is "Priyanka Chopra Jones?"' asked another.

Chopra walked the red carpet with her husband, Nick Jonas, and the two could hardly keep their hands off one another.

Chopra, 43, cut a glamorous figure in a full-length midnight blue frock that brought back memories of Old Hollywood, with its two-tiered skirt and lamé top.

The off-the-shoulder number offered up a glimpse of cleavage, and was accessorized with a dazzling diamond necklace.

Her luscious hair fell free in waves, and she brought out her luminous complexion with light makeup, proving how little she has aged since her rise to fame as a beauty queen turned Bollywood superstar.

She clung amorously to her besuited husband, 33, who once won a Golden Globe for a song called Home that he wrote for the animated movie Ferdinand.

The show opened with a explosive monologue from Glaser, during which she took aim at president Donald Trump's Justice Department, claiming they deserved an award for 'best editing' in the wake of the release of the heavily-redacted Epstein files.

'I cannot believe the amount of star power we have in this room tonight. It is insane,' she said.

'So many A-listers - and by A-listers, I mean people who are on "a list" that has been heavily redacted,' Glaser continued, eliciting loud cheers and even some groans from the celebrity audience.

She went on to jokingly award the 'Golden Globe for Best Editing' to Trump's Justice Department, who have released just one percent of the files since Trump signed off on their release in November 2025.

She then moved her sights to Leonardo DiCaprio, making a 'cheap' joke about the actor's affinity for younger women.

'I mean, countless iconic performances. You’ve worked with every great director. You’ve won three Golden Globes and an Oscar,' she said.

'And the most impressive thing is that you were able to accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned 30.
