Erin Doherty wins and joins Rebecca Hall at Independent Spirit Awards
by CAROLINA PIRAS, SHOWBUSINESS REPORTER · Mail OnlineErin Doherty won the Best Supporting Performance in a New Scripted Series gong on Sunday as she joined fellow Brit Rebecca Hall at the star-studded Independent Spirit Awards on Sunday.
The Crown star, 33, brought British pride to the stage after she was honoured for her role as child psychologist Briony Ariston in the Netflix acclaimed show Adolescence.
Erin appeared on cloud nine as she received the gong, presented by Keke Palmer, as she was warmly congratulated for the ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
She looked the epitome of glamour in a stylish black cape gown, adding sheer tights and matching stilettos.
Slicking her locks in her signature low-do, she added further bling with a pair of dazzling red pendant earrings.
Also in attendance of the event was English actress and director Rebecca, 43.
The Vicky Cristina Barcelona icon commanded attention in a classy electric blue dress.
She completed the striking ensemble with a pair of beaded black shoes as she stopped for snaps on the red carpet.
The Independent Spirit Awards were hosted by SNL star Ego Nwodim and Honorary Chair filmmaker Lulu Wang.
Winners are selected by members of Film Independent, the nonprofit dedicated to supporting visual storytelling.
