Stephen Bear boasts 'the police can't catch me know' from Brazil

Vile reality TV star Stephen Bear has jetted off to Brazil with his 18-year-old girlfriend, boasting: 'The police can't catch me now.'

The convicted sex offender, 35, was freed from HMP Brixton last January after serving half of his 21-month sentence for sharing a sex tape of his Love Island ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison.

Bear, a former Celebrity Big Brother winner, was also ordered to pay the £22,305 that prosecutors estimated that he earned from illegally sharing the footage on OnlyFans.

Ms Harrison, who waived her right to anonymity as she campaigned for stricter laws around revenge porn, told the Proceeds of Crime hearing at the time: 'I had to live in fear that this was going to come out and my family were going to know about it.

'It was just like the worst feeling you can ever possibly imagine. I felt violated, I felt embarrassed - I hated myself for a really long time.'

Bear, from Loughton, Essex, was sentenced to 21 months in March 2023 after a jury found him guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and films.

Now, a year on from his release from prison, he has returned to social media to boast of his freedom.

In a grim video shared from the beach in Brazil, he bragged: 'Life's good. I thought I'd come on here guys and say I love you all, simple as that. I love you all. Stay true, because this year I'm fully active, I'm off licence. The police, they could still be after me, but I'm in Brazil. They can't catch me now. Catch me if you can.'

Swigging a beer, he added: 'I'm just chilling out, licence is finished, police is finished. I can be completely left alone, ready to enjoy my life now. All my conditions are just lifted. Now I can post on social media, that was the main condition, watch this space.'

Bear also boasted about being on the beach in Brazil with his much younger girlfriend at 3.40pm in the afternoon.

Panning the camera around to his girlfriend, he said: 'I'm in Brazil, I don't know if you've heard. This is my 18-year-old Latina girlfriend, say hello baby.

'We just chilling, I got eight music videos I got to shoot while im in Brazil. Thinking of looking at some property while I'm over here.'

Blowing a kiss to the camera, he added: 'As they say in Brazil, te amo, ciao. That means I love you, goodbye.'

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) previously told how Bear has shown 'a complete lack of remorse'.

Ahead of his sentencing, he posed for selfies outside court and sang Lady In Red to a reporter wearing a red coat. He also arrived for hearings, supported by his father, in lavish outfits and a Rolls Royce.

As he was jailed, he waved from the dock and said: 'Have a good evening. Enjoy the weekend everyone.'

Sex offender Stephen Bear puts on loved-up display with his Brazilian girlfriend

Bear was given a restraining order to not contact Ms Harrison for five years. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register and is subjected to notification requirements for 10 years.

In March last year, Bear was ordered to pay £22,305 to retrieve the money he made by sharing the sex tape on OnlyFans. He was also ordered to pay £5,000 in compensation to Ms Harrison.

Chelmsford Crown Court has confirmed the £22,305 was paid in full on May 8 last year.

It comes after Harrison said she was awarded £207,900 damages following a High Court case but that Bear had paid 'not one penny' of it.

Bear sold his home in Loughton while he was in prison to pay his legal bills.

The criminal trial heard how Ms Harrison and Bear had consensual sex at his home in Loughton but the Love Island star did not know they were being filmed.

The victim said she saw Bear send someone the footage on WhatsApp and was later made aware it was circulation online.

After Bear was locked up, Ms Harrison said: 'Today's sentence is a vindication of what I've been put through and sends a clear message that the police and courts take this matter very seriously.

'I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and I have absolutely no regrets on waiving my anonymity.

'I hope this puts anyone off committing this sort of crime and I hope for anyone who has been a victim of it, it gives them some sort of justice.'
