Lauren Sanchez channelled 'Italian Riviera style' says style expert
by GINA KALSI · Mail OnlineLauren Sanchez was living out her '1950s Italian Riviera' fantasy by channelling vintage film stars with her classy ensemble, according to a style expert, as she continues to enjoy her $20 million nuptials in Venice.
The former journalist and bride-to-be, 55, was photographed walking along a bridge on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore wearing a stunning white headscarf on the day of her Venetian wedding to Jeff Bezos.
She was the epitome of style and grace as she unveiled her second bridal look which consisted of an ivory tailored peacoat with black buttons, paired with a matching skirt.
Lauren put her best fashion foot forward as she completed her chic ensemble with printed headscarf, elegantly wrapped around her chocolate caramel tresses and a pair of classic black Celine sunglasses, along with a black croc-print handbag.
It is a look synonymous with the likes of sophisticated vintage film stars such as Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren and Jackie O.
According to stylist Lisa Talbot, Lauren - who has invited A-listers from around the world to celebrate her big day - is 'radiating timeless elegance' with her look.
She told MailOnline: 'Lauren Sanchez made a striking style statement today in Venice as she stepped out ahead of her wedding to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Radiating timeless elegance, Sanchez embraced a look steeped in vintage glamour with unmistakable nods to classic 1950s Italian Riviera style.
'Her ivory short-sleeved jacket, cut with a sculpted waist and structured shoulders, featured oversized buttons that added polish without overwhelming the minimalist silhouette.
'The fabric’s clean, structured finish gave the outfit a tailored sharpness, while the subtle peplum hem flattered her figure and added a touch of feminine flair.'
Talbot added that her choice of headscarf helped take her look to the next level, along with pairing it with a pair of designer sunglasses which fit the frame of her chiselled face perfectly.
'What truly elevated the look was her choice of accessories: a sheer white headscarf, chicly knotted under the chin paired with oversized dark sunglasses, perfectly evoked the iconic style of Jackie O and Sophia Loren,' she said.
'The scarf, layered over her brunette waves and lightly blowing in the breeze, added a sense of softness and romantic mystery.
'Sanchez's styling cleverly struck a balance between modern sophistication and old-school screen siren.
'The cream palette was a subtle nod to bridalwear without being overtly stylish, respectful choice for the occasion that kept all eyes on her.'
Sanchez was filmed leaving the five star Aman hotel before making her way to San Giorgio Maggiore island where she will exchange vows with the billionaire tech mogul.
She was filmed blowing kisses to photographers and fans who had come out to see her off as she boarded a water taxi to take her to her wedding venue.
A-list stars Orlando Bloom, Usher, Sydney Sweeney and the Kardashians have all hit the town for a spot of sightseeing just hours before the ceremony takes place.
Celebrity stylist Rochelle White also told MailOnline that she feels as though Sanchez is showing off her best outfits, adding that every day is a 'fashion show'.
She said: 'I feel that Lauren is treating her wedding as a mini fashion show and a showcase of who she is. I feel that this could be her fourth look of the day.
'Much of her outfits have been bold statement pieces, but this one is much more muted with its sleek tailoring, monochrome palette and more chic.
White added: 'It's a stark difference from the bold outfit she was seen in earlier, it is giving very much 1940s/ 1950s old school glamour think Grace-Kelly meets Audrey Hepburn.
'I feel that this is a much more curated look and moment and even a bit of curve ball. This is still showcasing her personality and style but maybe also paying tribute to the classy European Riviera look leading up to the wedding.'
Lauren Sanchez was snapped wearing two dazzling rings and a bracelet with LB on her wrist, perhaps to mark her new initials, Lauren Bezos.
One ring will certainly be the 30-carat cushion cut diamond engagement rock with a platinum band given to her by Jeff Bezos two years ago.
The ring, which is estimated to cost between $3 million and $5 million, was offered to Sanchez in May 2023 as while the couple were sailing across the Mediterranean on the inaugural voyage of Bezos's superyacht
Speaking with Vogue in November 2023, Sánchez revealed she and Bezos had enjoyed dinner before the proposal with him hiding the ring under her pillow
