Dark Messiah of Might and Magic-Inspired Action Adventure RPG, Alkahest, Gets New Gameplay Trailer

by · DSOGaming

HypeTrain Digital has released a new trailer for its upcoming game, Alkahest. Developed by Push On, Alkahest is an action-adventure RPG that is inspired by Dishonored, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. So, if you are a fan of those games, you should definitely check it out.

In Alkahest, you play as the youngest son of a minor lord. During your adventure, you can explore realistic locations such as castles, forests, villages, and other medieval environments. The developers also say that players will face interesting choices that can affect their journey.

According to Push On, the game will offer different ways to complete tasks and progress through the story. It will also feature highly interactive areas that feel alive and believable, with semi-open-world locations to explore.

Combat focuses on creativity and the environment around you. Players can combine attacks and use the world to their advantage. For example, you can knock a tree onto enemies, kick them off cliffs, or set them on fire. The gameplay is similar to the action and freedom found in games like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

Instead of using magic, Alkahest features an alchemy system. Players can follow recipes or mix ingredients they find during their travels. The substances they create can be thrown at enemies, applied to weapons, secretly placed in a character’s pocket, or even consumed. Because of this, the results can be surprising and unpredictable.

In this trailer, we get to see how players can use the environment to their advantage. And, as you will see, the game will immediately remind you of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. So, good job, Push On.

Right now, there are three games that seem to be influenced by Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. These are: Alkahest, Fatekeeper, and The Nightscarred: Forgotten Gods.

There is currently no ETA for when the game will come out. Naturally, though, I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Enjoy!
