Phantom Blade Zero November 4th Update Released & Detailed

by · DSOGaming

S-Game has just released the November 4th Update, also known as Patch 1.0302256, for Phantom Blade Zero. So, let’s see what this new patch brings to the table.

The patch adds two new sound options. Players can now change the volume of hit sounds and hit impact sounds. This gives them more control over the sounds they hear during combat.

PC players also get a new control option. They can now change the key or button used for Interact / Talk. This works with both keyboards and controllers.

The update also improves performance in some areas. It makes changes to the combat behavior of certain bosses and enemies. Some parts of the world have also been adjusted. This includes the way certain objects and devices work.

One boss fight has also been changed. Hua, Deadly Betrothed, now uses grab attacks less often on Wayfarer and Pathbreaker difficulty levels. Other difficulty levels are not affected.

The patch also improves combat feedback. Weapon hits should feel better, and the volume of some sound effects and voice lines has been changed. The team has also updated some weapon and skill descriptions. Controller button icons have been updated as well.

PC players will also notice a big change to shader loading. The game no longer builds ray tracing shaders every time it starts. This helps cut startup times by a lot. Players who had ray tracing turned off before the patch will need to build shaders once after the update. This should only take a short time. Players who had ray tracing on can start playing right away. If they turn ray tracing on later, the game will build the needed shaders the next time it starts.

The update also fixes stutter that could happen when using a controller over Bluetooth. NVIDIA Reflex has also been fixed. It now works when set to Auto, even if V-Sync is on.

The patch also fixes many bugs. It fixes issues that could stop players from making progress in some cases. It also fixes spots where the player could get stuck in the world. Some cutscenes and visual effects have been fixed, along with several combat bugs.

Finally, the update fixes a hair issue on some AMD graphics cards. This bug could make character hair look wrong when using certain driver versions.

As always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. The update is 3.7GB in size. Below, you can also find its full patch notes.
