Rob Reiner's Son Nick Was MIA For Hours After Sister Found Slain Parents -- DETAILS
by Perez Hilton · Perez HiltonWe have learned that Nick Reiner was missing and unaccounted for over approximately six hours (at least) after the deaths of his father Rob Reiner and his mother Michele Singer Reiner.
As we’ve been reporting, the famed filmmaker and his wife were found dead by their daughter Romy in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on Sunday afternoon. Now, according to TMZ‘s reporting on Monday afternoon, Nick was apparently missing for hours after their deaths and before police were able to track him down.
First, that outlet confirmed something we’ve already reported: Romy was the one to find the bodies and call police. Upon calling over the deaths, she told cops that Nick had been living at the Brentwood home with her slain parents, and that she suspected he could have been involved in their deaths.
Cops first responded to the scene west El Lay at about 3:40 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. When they got there to see Romy and begin to process the awful crime scene, Nick was apparently nowhere to be found — meaning he allegedly must have fled the scene following their deaths.
In fact, things stayed that way for a long time — nearly six full hours — before the suspected killer was tracked down by cops at about 9:15 p.m. on Sunday night.
It’s not yet clear exactly where he went during those six hours. And obviously, while the investigation is ongoing, it’s still uncertain as to precisely how this timeline is laid out hour-by-hour in the time leading up to the deaths and just afterwards.
But at least for now, Nick is currently being held in police custody without bail.
What a horrific story. We can’t even imagine what Romy must have witnessed when she walked in to find her parents there. Ugh.
