Rob & Michele Reiner's Bodies 'Butchered' By 'Mad Man' & In State Of Rigor Mortis When Discovered By Daughter Romy

New details emerging about the horrifying deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele paint an increasingly devastating picture
According to law enforcement sources who spoke to TMZ on Tuesday, when authorities arrived at the Reiner home back on Sunday afternoon at around 3:40 p.m., it was immediately apparent that Rob and Michele had been dead for hours.
Rigor mortis had already set in, that outlet claimed — a grim biological marker that underscored just how much time had passed before anyone realized something was terribly wrong. And thus, by the time help arrived, it was far too late.
Sources familiar with the investigation described the scene inside the house as something out of a nightmare. The bodies reportedly looked as though they had been”butchered” by a “mad man,” as that outlet’s source said, with the level of violence done to the couple nearly too extreme to imagine.
As we’ve been reporting, it was their daughter Romy who made the unimaginable discovery. She arrived at the house, found the bodies, and called the police. After that, she reportedly reached out to longtime family friend Billy Crystal.
Police interviewed Romy at the scene, where she was eventually joined by a female friend for support, per TMZ. During that interview, she allegedly told officers that her brother Nick was dangerous. She also indicated Nick had been living at the home, but was nowhere to be found when she arrived, which of course raised immediate and chilling concerns that he had fled.
As we’ve since reported, Nick was eventually located and arrested roughly six hours after the bodies were discovered. He is now being held in jail without bail on suspicion of murder, and has reportedly been placed on suicide watch amid a slight speed bump at what would have been his first court appearance.
