Trump To Put His Picture In US Passports

The official photograph of Donald Trump is set to appear in a limited number of US passports, marking a break from long-standing norms as the president continues to leave a personal imprint on government institutions.

The US State Department has confirmed that it will issue a special-edition passport to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence.

According to reports, the redesigned passports will include two featured images. One shows Trump’s official portrait superimposed over the Declaration of Independence, complete with his signature in gold. The other carries a historic painting depicting the Founding Fathers.

“As the United States celebrates America’s 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed US passports to commemorate this historic occasion,” spokesperson Tommy Pigott said in a post on X.

Officials indicated that these commemorative passports will be available only in Washington and distributed on a limited basis, with no additional cost to applicants.
