Trump May Sell Tesla Amid Feud with Elon Musk

Former U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly considering getting rid of his red Tesla, as tensions with Elon Musk continue to escalate.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, a White House official confirmed that Trump may sell or give away the car, which was originally acquired during a promotional photo-op for Tesla.

The move comes as the once-friendly relationship between the two billionaires turns increasingly hostile, with Trump launching personal attacks in recent interviews.

“I’m not even thinking about Elon. He’s got a problem,” Trump told CNN, brushing off any possibility of reconciliation.

In a separate conversation with ABC News, Trump went further, describing Musk as “a man who has lost his mind.”

The fallout began when Trump publicly backed a bill threatening electric vehicle incentives—a direct hit to Tesla’s business model.

He claimed Musk was “upset” over the potential removal of EV credits, hinting that their relationship had deteriorated.

“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore,” Trump remarked at a White House press briefing.

Musk responded swiftly and sharply on X (formerly Twitter), stating that Trump would have lost the 2024 election without his support — further fueling the political and personal rift between the two tech and political powerhouses.
