Tottenham agree deal for Tudor as interim boss

Tottenham Hotspur have reached a verbal agreement with Igor Tudor to become interim head coach until the end of the season.

According to the BBC, Spurs moved quickly to appoint a short-term replacement following the sacking of Thomas Frank earlier this week, with the club keen to have a manager in place before players return to training on Monday.

The final details of the agreement are yet to be completed, but a verbal deal is in place.

Tudor, 47, was most recently in charge of Juventus before being dismissed in October 2025 after an eight-match winless run that left the club eighth in Serie A.

He has previously managed several European sides, including Lazio, Marseille, Galatasaray and Udinese.

Spurs are currently 16th in the Premier League table, five points above the relegation places, having won just two of their last 17 league matches.The club is expected to appoint a permanent manager at the end of the campaign.

Tudor could be considered for the role on a full-time basis if he performs well in the interim position.Former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is regarded as the leading candidate to replace Frank permanently.

His contract with the United States men’s national team runs until after this summer’s World Cup.

Roberto De Zerbi is also among the potential options, having left Marseille by mutual consent earlier this week.

Tottenham had explored other short-term candidates, including former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic and ex-RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose, before reaching an agreement with Tudor.
