Osun 2026: Octogenarian backs Adeleke’s reelection
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineAn octogenarian voter in Ede, Bisi Alaraoye, on Saturday expressed confidence that Governor Ademola Adeleke would emerge victorious in the ongoing governorship election in Osun State, saying voters remained supportive.
The 85-year-old supporter of Governor Adeleke spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at Sagba Agbogunde Ward 2 Unit 9.
Alaraoye said Adeleke’s performance in office had earned him widespread support among residents.
She urged the electorate, especially elderly voters, to come out en masse to vote for candidates of their choice rather than staying indoors during the election and exercising their civic rights.
According to her, the governor has done well in taking care of the elderly since his inception as governor and deserved another term in office to continue his support for them.
Alaraoye said: “I also want the best for the state because if anything happens to me, those left behind may enjoy the dividends.
“I am confident the incumbent governor will emerge victorious.”
