Breaking: Police arrest Adeniyi Adeyemi, ‘DG of PFIPC’ + Video
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineThe Nigeria Police Force has arrested the self-styled Director General of the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi.
A video by TVC on Tuesday confirmed the arrest, a few hours after a bench warrant was issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice Mohammed Umar ordered security agencies to arrest him for failing to appear in court to face criminal charges preferred against him by the police.

This followed an oral application by the counsel to the police, Wisdom Madaki, who informed the court that the defendant had repeatedly failed to appear for his arraignment despite several adjournments granted at his request.
Justice Umar granted the application and directed law enforcement agencies to arrest Adeyemi and produce him before the court to answer to the charges against him.
Adeyemi is facing allegations bordering on forgery, fraud, and impersonation.
