Ganduje recognises Sanusi as Emir of Kano
by Adenle Ahmed Abiola · The Eagle OnlineA former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has publicly recognised Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano and Chairman of the Kano State Council of Chiefs.
He did this during the swearing-in of the new Deputy Governor of Kano State, Murtala Sule Garo, at the Government House, Kano.

During his address at the ceremony on Tuesday, Ganduje, who deposed Sanusi as Emir, addressed him by his full traditional title as Emir of Kano, a gesture that drew loud applause from dignitaries and other attendees.
