President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has told the Super Eagles that the bronze medal they won at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) surely feels like gold.

Tinubu made this known in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The statement, on Saturday, followed the 4-2 penalty win the Super Eagles recorded over the Pharaohs of Egypt, earlier in the day.

With the win, Nigeria recorded a ninth triumph in the third place match of the AFCON.

President Tinubu in the statement by Onanuga stated that the Super Eagles players, through their victory, have once again demonstrated the determination, persistence, and can-do spirit associated with our country.

“We will all be proud of them as they receive their hard-earned bronze medal on Sunday in Rabat, Morocco.
