Tinubu polls 131,096 votes in Edo APC presidential primary
by Adeola Balogun · The Eagle OnlinePresident Bola Ahmed Tinubu recorded a landslide victory in the APC Presidential Primary Election held across the 192 wards in Edo State, polling a total of 131,096 votes, while his challenger, Stanley Osifo, secured just one vote.
Edo State Governor and Returning Officer for the election, Senator Monday Okpebholo, described the exercise as peaceful and transparent.
He noted that the results reflected the overwhelming support for President Tinubu across the state.

Edo South Senatorial District:
Oredo – 9,177
Ikpoba-Okha – 13,147
Egor – 10,074
Orhionmwon – 6,858
Ovia South West – 10,044
Ovia North East – 7,983
Uhunmwonde – 6,159
Total: 63,442 votes

Governor Okpebholo stated that the successful conduct of the primary across the 18 local government areas further demonstrates the APC’s strength and growing support base ahead of the 2027 general election.
