Just in: Chelsea accept Man City £125m bid for Enzo Fernandez

The fee, according to David Ornstein, would match Liverpool’s £125 million British transfer record paid for Alexander Isak last year, with Fernandez set to undergo his medical later on Tuesday.
Manchester City are determined to complete the deal before the 11pm transfer deadline, with Fernandez reportedly keen on the move and Chelsea willing to sell after their conditions were met.
The Blues wanted City to meet a £120 million valuation for Fernandez and also insisted on signing a replacement before sanctioning his departure.
Chelsea have now moved to address the second condition with an agreement for Roma midfielder Manu Kone advancing.
FootballTransfers reported that Chelsea had agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old France international and were pushing to complete the transfer before the window closes.
They wrote: “Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Manu Kone and are now pushing to sign the AS Roma midfielder before the window closes.”
The potential arrival of Kone would clear the way for Fernandez to leave Stamford Bridge after just three years at the club.

Fernandez joined Chelsea from Benfica in a major transfer and has remained an important member of the squad, but his future has become increasingly uncertain as Manchester City pushed to complete the record-breaking move.
City have already strengthened their midfield this summer with the arrivals of Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi, taking their spending on midfielders beyond £340 million.
Fernandez’s move, however, would represent the biggest deal of the current operation and could equal the British transfer record if the agreement is completed.
