Just in: UCL draw: English clubs learn Champions League opponents
by Moronfolu Adeyemi · The Eagle OnlinePremier League clubs have discovered their opponents for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase following Thursday’s draw.
Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Aston Villa will represent England in the competition, with some of the clubs handed high-profile European clashes.
Premier League champions Arsenal will face Real Madrid, while they will also play Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli in the league phase.
Manchester United, returning to the Champions League for the first time in three years, will host Bayern Munich and travel to Atletico Madrid among their eight fixtures.
Liverpool will once again face Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, with the two meetings repeating fixtures from last season.
The Reds will also play Porto and Villarreal and make a trip to Turkey to face Istanbul.

Manchester City were handed a difficult campaign after being drawn against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
City will also host Napoli, setting up a reunion with former midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
Aston Villa, meanwhile, will travel to Barcelona and host PSG in another meeting with the holders following their quarter-final clash two years ago.
The English clubs will now begin preparations for their respective league phase campaigns as they target progress in Europe’s biggest club competition.
