Real Madrid will face Manchester City in the Champions League round of 16 after Friday’s draw confirmed the knockout fixtures.

The tie is one of several heavyweight clashes involving English clubs, with holders Paris Saint-Germain drawn against Chelsea and Newcastle set to meet Barcelona.

Liverpool will take on Galatasaray, while Tottenham Hotspur were paired with Atletico Madrid.

League phase winners Arsenal face German side Bayer Leverkusen.

Elsewhere, Atalanta will play Bayern Munich, while Bodo/Glimt, this season’s surprise package after knocking out Inter, were drawn against Sporting CP.

The first legs will be played on March 10 and 11, with the return fixtures scheduled a week later. The first team drawn will host the opening leg.
