As at the time of filing this report, both the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Bafana Bafana were leading their opponents by 3-0.
With the scoreline, the South Africans, who were playing Rwanda, had qualified for the World Cup.
Nigeria will be hoping for a play-off as one of the best four second-placed teams in Africa.
As at press time, Nigeria was number four on the log of the second-placed teams.

If Nigeria gets more goals against Benin Republic, it would be number four on the log.
However, the match DR Congo will be playing later in the day will then be the determinant of who makes it between DR Congo and Burkina Faso and the position the Super Eagles will occupy.
