Trump: I’ve agreed to talks with Iran, but ceasefire ‘over’
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlinePresident Donald Trump on Friday said that the United States has agreed to continue talks with Iran, but he also reiterated that Washington has informed Tehran that the ceasefire is no longer in effect.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked us to continue ‘talks.’ We have agreed to do so,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
“But the United States has stated to them, in no uncertain terms, that the Cease Fire is OVER!” the president added.

The US repeatedly struck Iran this week after Tehran targeted multiple vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
But Trump did not order additional strikes Thursday.
