Four kidnapped Directors regain freedom, ASCSN speaks
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineThe Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has commended security agencies for securing the release of four abducted Directors of the Federal Ministry of Defence.
ASCSN President, Shehu Mohammed, said this in a statement he signed with the Secretary-General, Joshua Apebo, on Friday in Abuja.
The Directors were kidnapped on November 10, 2025 while travelling on the Kabba-Lokoja Highway to Abuja for promotion examinations.
The ASCSN said that four of the six victims had regained freedom and were undergoing medical checks.
The union identified those rescued as Helen Ezeakor, C. A. Ladoye, Ngozi Ibeziakor, and Essien Catherine, while Emeribe C.A. and Onwuzurike J.A. are still with their abductors.

The union urged the Defence Ministry and security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue the remaining two officials unhurt.
It also renewed its call for decentralising examinations and verification exercises to reduce workers’ exposure to travel-related security risks.
The union commended President Bola Tinubu for efforts to curb insecurity and ensure safer travel for Nigerians.
