Tinubu to confer national honours on Kolade-Otitiju, Osinubi, others + Full list
by The Eagle Online · The Eagle OnlineThe Director of News of TVC, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, and a former Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of PUNCH Newspapers, Ademola Osinubu, are among prominent Nigerians to be conferred with national honours for the roles they played in sustaining the country’s democracy.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu released the list of honouress in his Democracy Day broadcast to Nigerians in the early hours of Friday.
According to Tinubu: “I am also pleased to announce national awards to the following Nigerians, who suffered persecution, endured indignities, exile, incarceration, and, at times, solitary confinement, so that we have democracy today.”
