PASOK-Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis has condemned terrorism and religious hatred following a deadly attack on the Greek Orthodox Church of St George in Hamoud, Al-Karak, Jordan, expressing solidarity with Christian communities and other religious minorities across the Middle East.

Androulakis said he had spoken earlier with Jerusalem Patriarch Theophilos III to offer his condolences for the victims of the attack, which took place during a religious service and killed and injured dozens of worshippers.

“I condemn terrorism and religious hatred and express my solidarity with Christian populations and other religious minorities in the Middle East, who have repeatedly been targeted by extremist attacks,” Androulakis said in his statement.
