3 US troops killed, five seriously wounded in Iran war: CENTCOM

TEHRAN – 1 March 2026: Three US service members were killed and five others were seriously wounded in the ongoing war with Iran, US Central Command said on Sunday.

CENTCOM gave no details on where or how the casualties occurred, which marked the first reported American fatalities in the current escalation.

Several additional personnel suffered minor injuries and are being returned to duty, they added.

Iran has launched ballistic missile and drone attacks against US military sites in the Middle East over the past day in response to ongoing US-Israeli strikes on dozens of political and military targets in Iran.
