Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham and Newcastle United star Alexander Isak

I laughed at entitled Man United claim about Newcastle star Alexander Isak after PSR bombshell

"I'm really happy with how things are going...all my focus is here." "Playing in the Premier League for a club like Newcastle United with a fan base like they have here is extra special." "It's home. It's an amazing place...I feel very good here."

How many times has Alexander Isak had to say it in recent months? And, yet, it is not just followers of Arsenal who can't help themselves. Take it away Teddy Sheringham.

"Manchester United are still a massive draw for any player and playing for the club is still a highlight of anyone's career," the former Red Devils striker told Boyle Sports. "Would Alexander Isak consider joining Manchester United if a bid came in? Without a doubt."

Really?! Let's look at the facts. There is still a lot of football to play this season, but Newcastle United are currently 12 points clear of Manchester United in the table and even boss Ruben Amorim repeatedly admitted the Magpies 'were the better team' following the visitors' 2-0 win at Old Trafford last week.

Although Manchester United generate staggering commercial revenues, the club's PSR situation means that the Red Devils have to sell to buy this month following a series of poor windows - and there are not exactly many takers for Marcus Rashford and Co right now.

Finally, such is the confusion at the top of the club, Sir Jim Ratcliffe spent longer cursing Newcastle's 'silly' demands for Dan Ashworth than he did actually working with the club's former sporting director.

Dream on, Teddy.
