Erling Haaland's huge Man City deal threatens Shearer goal record amid Premier League charges hint
by Stuart Jamieson · ChronicleLiveRemember the days of Alan Pardew being given an eight-year contract at Newcastle United? Erling Haaland's new Manchester City deal puts even that in the shade, with the Premier League goal machine signing a nine-and-a-half year deal at the Etihad.

City are still awaiting the verdict of the battle with the Premier League over alleged financial rule breaches. The hearing is now over and a result is due to follow at some stage this year. However, it seems Haaland will be staying at the club regardless of the verdict.
