I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! hosts Ant and Dec faced disruption to their live show preparations due to an unexpected fire alarm incident. The pair normally wake up at 2am Australian time to get ready for the show, which begins at 7am Australian time.

However, the duo's routine was disturbed when they were abruptly woken from their sleep at around 9.30pm on Monday evening by a fire alarm going off, just hours after going to bed at 6.30pm. The presenters are once again staying in their usual beachfront £1,000-per-night penthouse near the I'm a Celebrity jungle. Ant and Dec spoke candidly to fans about being knackered for the live broadcast, which goes out at 9pm UK time.

During an Instagram Live session, one viewer enquired: "Are you both tired? " to which Dec replied with an explanation about the late-night disturbance: "We are and I shall tell why. There was a fire alarm last night at 9.30pm. I know that might sound early for you, doesn't it, but we go to bed at 6.30pm."

Ant chimed in regarding the importance of those initial hours of rest: "You are three hours in and those first three hours are your deep sleep, that's your really good sleep.", reports the Mirror.

Dec then humorously commented on his co-host's appearance: "You can tell he missed out on his beauty sleep last night...look at the state of him today."

The presenting duo is residing locally with their families; Dec with his wife, Ali Astall, and children Isla, aged six, and two year old Jack in Cabarita, New South Wales. Ant is accompanied by his wife Anne-Marie and their baby Wilder, born this past May, who couldn't join him the previous year due to pregnancy.

Dec has previously shared their nightly routine before the demanding 2am wake-up call. He revealed that they typically film the Bushtucker trial after the show wraps up, getting home around 1pm.

"We have a couple of hours to chill and then have dinner about 4.30pm and then bed is like six or 6.30pm" he said. Ant chimed in: "And then our alarms go off at two or 2.30am every day. And you can never fall asleep at half six. It is always after seven."

Dec concurred, adding: "I don't fall asleep no, I go to bed and put on a podcast, a Newcastle United podcast, Pod On The Tyne or the True Faith podcast, I listen to that."
