Wolves and Beşiktaş in January transfer talks – Defender open to Molineux exit

by · Sport Witness

Beşiktaş are ‘seriously interested’ in Wolves defender Emmanuel Agbadou and talks are already underway.

That’s according to journalist Sercan Dikme. He reports that the Wolves defender is open to joining Beşiktaş in the January transfer window.

According to his information, Agbadou is among the top candidates for Beşiktaş. They’re looking to strengthen their options in central defence, and the Wolves man is at the top of the list.

Negotiations between Wolves and Beşiktaş are already ongoing. Whether that’s over a permanent transfer or a loan deal isn’t made clear at this point. Given that Turkish sides are usually reluctant to spend their money, a loan deal wouldn’t be surprising.

What would be surprising is Wolves being open to letting Agbadou go. He only joined them in the January transfer window in a €16.6m deal, signing a four-and-a-half-year deal at the time. That even includes the option of another 12 months.

He’s also been a regular under Rob Edwards since his arrival, playing 90 minutes in all of his games so far. That wouldn’t hint he’s being pushed out either.

But it appears he may be set for a rapid exit, with Beşiktaş keen on a deal and talks already underway about a potential move.
