Negotiations for Tottenham exit in final stages – Player clear what he wants

Four days ago, we relayed news the midfielder has agreed on to personal terms with the Turkish champions. He will receive a salary of around €9m, likely net, per year.
Later that day, Sport Witness covered a report that Galatasaray offered €18m. However, Tottenham have turned it down and are requesting €25m for him.
The Senegal international has a contract until 2030 but has no future under Roberto De Zerbi. The Premier League side have reportedly informed him he’s free to leave this summer.
Work ongoing to convince Tottenham
Akşam again points out Pape Matar Sarr is keen on joining the Istanbul club and the two parties have already found an agreement. It’s now down to the clubs to agree terms.
Although Spurs have given the green light, Galatasaray haven’t found an agreement yet.
The latter have intensified their efforts by improving their offer to €20m for the midfielder. This is still short of Tottenham Hotspur’s request for €25m.
Gala want Tottenham man’s signing this week
Despite the gap in valuation, the discussions are ongoing between Spurs and the Süper Lig winners. The negotiations are in the ‘final stages’, and they are planning to conclude the operation this week.
Gala are working on getting rid of Mario Lemina and Lucas Torreira, and the duo’s exits will free up space in the foreign quota.
Fanatik are also reporting Roberto De Zerbi’s side are willing to let the 23-year-old leave late in this window.
Tottenham Hotspur have set a €25m price. Galatasaray are trying to bring the price down and hope to complete his signing this week.
Pape Matar Sarr has deleted posts on Instagram and posted a lion emoji. The Turkish champions’ nickname is The Lions, and his social media activity is seen as a hint he wants to join Galatasaray.
