Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Emmanuel Agbadou has been linked with a move to Besiktas in the winter market.

On Thursday, journalist Sercan Dikme reported Wolves are in talks with the Turkish club. He also stated the centre-back is open to leaving Molineux next month.

Kartal Record journalist Mustafa Karatas took to X, formerly known as Twitter, after taking an unusual step

Karatas says he contacted former Wolves manager Vitor Pereira. The journalist asked him about the 28-year-old and a potential transfer.

Responding to that, he said: “I can’t comment on matters related to Wolves right now, but I can only say this: Agbadou is a top-level player.”

The Ivory Coast international spent over two years at Stade de Reims and joined Wolves in January. He played 33 matches for Wolves of which 29 came under Pereira’s orders.

Pereira was in charge of the Premier League side until November 2nd. The English club decided to part ways with the Portuguese after they failed to register a league win under him.

Wolves’ situation hasn’t improved under Pereira’s successor, Rob Edwards, with them losing all four matches under the current manager.

This could be a factor in Agbadou being tempted by a January exit.
