Met Eireann warns of widespread rain and thunderstorms hitting parts of the country today.
The national forecaster says there will be "plenty of bright weather" this week, but there will be rain showers at times also.
Today (Monday February 24) will be bright, but blustery and wet also.

A Met Eireann forecaster said: "A blustery day today with scattered showers and good spells of sunshine at first. More widespread heavy showers will spread from the west through the afternoon. Some showers will be of hail with scattered thunderstorms. Showers will become more scattered this evening. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty southwesterly winds.
"Tonight scattered showers will continue, most frequent and heavy at times in the west and north with a chance of hail and isolated thunderstorms. Further east and south there will be longer dry and clear intervals. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds."
Tomorrow (Tuesday February 25) will be another day of "sunshine and showers" and it looks like the west will be worst affected by bad weather.
Met.ie says: "Tomorrow will be another day of sunshine and showers. The showers will be mainly confined to the western half of the country in the morning but they will spread further eastwards through the day, some turning heavy with a chance of hail. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in moderate westerly winds.
"Turning cloudy overnight with showery rain spreading from the west, heavy in some spots with the chance of hail. The rain will clear into the Irish Sea in the early hours of the morning. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly winds."
Wednesday (February 26) will be another mixed bag and it will be quite cold at night time.
The official forecast reads: "A mix of sunny spells and scattered showers on Wednesday, with showers easing in the evening. Turning quite breezy with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds developing. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.
"A cold and largely dry night with clear spells, though isolated showers will continue in parts of the west and north. Westerly winds will ease light to moderate with lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees."
At the moment, it looks like Thursday (February 27) and Friday (February 28) will be bright and dry with scattered showers.
Current indications suggest it will generally be a wet weekend, but with some drier intervals too.
