Met Eireann issues new weather warning for 7 counties as Storm Bert extends into Sunday
by Sarah Magliocco · RSVP LiveMet Eireann has issued a new weather warning for seven counties, as the wet and windy weather extends into Sunday.
The national forecaster has issued a status yellow wind warning for Clare, Kerry, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
The new warning was issued this morning, and is active from 8am on Sunday to 7pm on Sunday.

An additional yellow wind warning is in place for Donegal, from 8am on Sunday until 5am on Monday morning.
They warn that travel may be dangerous due to the conditions. Here are the possible impacts forecast by Met Eireann:

• Difficult travelling conditions
A weather advisory is in place until Tuesday, which reads: "This weekend, Storm Bert will move close to Ireland, displacing the recent cold Arctic airmass."
"Very strong winds and heavy rain will track northeastwards over the country on Friday night and Saturday morning."
"Storm Bert will continue to dominate our weather through the weekend and into early next week and further warnings will be issued for this event."
Red and orange weather warnings are in place for a number of counties until 10am on Saturday morning, due to the storm.
The ESB has said that 60,000 homes, farms and businesses are without power in due to high winds from Storm Bert.
The worst impacted areas include Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Cavan, Monaghan, Kerry and Cork. Crews have been dispatched to make the relevant repairs.
Flooding has also been reported across much of the country, with Iarnrod Eireann sharing a snapshot of a flooded railway line this morning.
