Sean 'Diddy' Combs could spend a maximum of 20 years in prison after being found guilty on two of the five charges against him.
The verdict found the rapper guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution related to his ex-girlfriend Cassie and another ex, who testified under the name "Jane".
However, he was not found guilty on the charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
Combs could have been looking at facing up to life in prison, had he been convicted on all charges, or even some of the more serious ones.
The guilty verdicts for the two prostitution charges could still see him face prison for some time, but Rolling Stone reports the penalty is expected to be "much less severe".
Combs technically faces a maximum of 20 years in prison as each violation of the Mann Act could result up to 10 years behind bars.
But legal experts don't anticipate the judge will hand down this punishment as he has no prior criminal record and the judge could also allow the rapper to serve concurrent sentences for the two counts.
A sentencing date has not yet been confirmed.
Meanwhile, Cassie Ventura - Combs' ex-girlfriend who took to the stand for four days during his trial - has spoken out after his conviction on two serious charges.
A statement from her legal team said: "This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023.
"Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.
"By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice. We must repeat – with no reservation – that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial.
"She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion. This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors."
