Pictures: Liam Payne's girlfriend and One Direction stars arrive at sad funeral
by Ben Hurst · DevonLiveThe first attendees have arrived at the funeral of singer Liam Payne at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Girls Aloud singers Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have been dropped off in front of the church’s entrance wearing long black coats and sunglasses.
Dozens of locals and fans have also gathered outside the church to pay their final respects to the former One Direction star. The girlfriend of Liam Payne, Kate Cassidy, has arrived at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
She was pictured outside the church dressed in black and wearing sunglasses. Kate was accompanied by actor and model Damian Hurley.
One Direction star, Harry Styles, arrived at the funeral accompanied by actor and presenter James Cordon. The pair arrived at St Mary’s Church in a BMW and were dressed in black. They went straight inside the church.
Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson have arrived at St Mary’s. JLS star Marvin Humes and his wife, The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes, have arrived at Liam Payne’s funeral.
Boy band JLS met Payne when he first auditioned for The X Factor in 2008 and they continued to be friends throughout his career in One Direction. Marvin wore a long back coat, black trousers and black gloves while Rochelle also donned a long coat with cape detailing for the service being held at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
Niall Horan and his girlfriend Amelia Woolley have been dropped off by a black Range Rover. They went straight inside St Mary’s Church. BBC Radio 2 host Scott Mills arrived ahead of the funeral of Liam Payne in Buckinghamshire.
The presenter, who spent a lot of time with One Direction in the early days of their career, wore a black long coat over dark trousers for the service. Former professional footballer Robbie Keane and broadcaster Adrian Chiles were also amongst the mourners gathering to pay their last respects to Payne.
Music mogul, Simon Cowell was accompanied by his fiance, Lauren Silverman. Both went straight inside the church. Capital radio DJs Chris Stark, Jordan North and Sian Welby all donned black ensembles for the service being held at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire on Wednesday afternoon.
A horse-drawn carriage arrived at St Mary’s Church carrying a dark blue coffin with silver handles, topped with white roses. On top of the carriage, there was a red floral tribute which said “son” and a blue tribute which said “daddy”.
Silence fell upon the crowd as Liam Payne’s father Geoff Payne and his mother Karen got out of a vehicle and stood behind the reverend, next to the carriage.
