Brooks Nader Defended Going Topless In Front Of Her Dad In Those Viral Vacation Pics, And People Have A Lot To Say

Last month, Brooks Nader was photographed topless in front of her family — including her mom, Holland, her dad, Breaux, and her sister Sarah Jane — while on vacation in Sardinia, Italy.
The group were pictured on a private boat out at sea, with Brooks appearing to be the only woman topless.
Several internet users were immediately uncomfortable over Brooks being topless in front of her family — least of all her dad. “This is fucking weird, right?” one person said, while another agreed, “This is fucking twisted.”
“I get it she’s in Italy but on a BOAT with only her family. Plus she’s the only doing it as far as we know which is even more weird,” someone else said, while one more user added, “I have to say as someone living in central Europe, being naked/topless in public beaches isn’t uncommon at all, however being topless on a family trip is very much frowned upon.”
Now, Brooks has defended the viral moment, noting that nudity isn’t an issue in the Nader household.
“I had the time of my freaking life,” she told Entertainment Tonight this week when asked about the photos. “I don’t care if I’m not from Europe. I’m from Louisiana.”
“I grew up in an all-girl household. We’re always naked together as sisters,” she continued, referring to Sarah Jane and her other two sisters, Grace Ann and Mary Holland.
Going on to reveal how her dad feels about the subject, Brooks insisted that he doesn’t care at all. “My dad’s half-blind, so he didn’t even notice. He was like, ‘I don’t care.’ He has selective hearing and selective seeing,” she said.
“I was just having the time of my life, and really not thinking that anyone was documenting some of it, but we love it. It’s great,” she added.
Some people are fully in support of Brooks’s take. “i wish ppl realised nudity isn’t inherently sexual,” one TikTok comment read, while someone else said on Instagram, “I think it’s sad that ppl see their own daughter’s bodies as shameful. It’s actually not healthy, and it’s just a projection from society.”
“I support her 100%,” another user echoed.
But many others still agree that they find it “weird, no matter how you justify it.” “Sorry, don't make excuses. It is very inappropriate to go topless in front of your father. You should know that. Your father should highly disapprove of that as well. It's called respect, and knowing your boundaries,” one person said.
“This is so bizarre,” another echoed, while someone else said, “No, there’s no excusing this. Nothing normal about it.”
