Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields music festival took place on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, and during her headlining set, Rodrigo welcomed Sarah McLachlan to the stage for a pair of special duets.

Rodrigo’s women-led festival was heavily inspired by Lilith Fair, the groundbreaking music festival McLachlan founded in the late ’90s to spotlight women in music.

Fittingly, the pair first performed McLachlan’s “Building a Mystery” together before slowing things down for an emotional tribute to the late Dolly Parton.

“We’re going to bring it down and make everybody cry a little bit, hopefully. I haven't done my job if I don’t make you cry,” McLachlan told the crowd before introducing the tribute.

“I want to dedicate this song tonight to the OG matriarch, beautiful goddess of country music, the biggest philanthropist in the history of country music, Dolly Parton,” she continued.

McLachlan then sat down at the piano and began performing “Angel,” with Rodrigo joining her beginning at the chorus.

Throughout the emotional performance, festivalgoers raised their illuminated phones in the air, filling the crowd with lights as the two artists paid tribute to the country music icon.
