Donald Trump has been under fire this week for his attempts to end discussion around releasing the Jeffrey Epstein case files. It's gotten to the point where even MAGA supporters are upset with his handling of the case.

In a nutshell, here's what's been going on: The Trump administration previously stated that it would release more documents related to the case, and some officials had also previously amplified conspiracy theories about Epstein's client list and death in prison. In February, Attorney General Pam Bondi said that Epstein's client list was "sitting on my desk" to be reviewed. But then, earlier this month, the Department of Justice and the FBI released a memo stating that there is no client list and no evidence of foul play in his death.

Trump's past relationship with Epstein has come under closer scrutiny amid his attempts to end the discourse about the case, which brings us to a new report. According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump allegedly wrote a letter to his former friend for his 50th birthday in 2003. It was reportedly found in a collection of often sexually-charged messages bound into a keepsake book as a gift for Epstein from Ghislaine Maxwell.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the letter, typed inside of a woman's silhouette drawn with a heavy marker, reads:

"Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything.

Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.

Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.

Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.

Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.

Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?

Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.

Donald: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret."

The letter is reportedly signed "Donald" below the woman's waist, in imitation of pubic hair.

The President claims this letter is "a fake," telling WSJ, "I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women." Trump has also threatened to sue WSJ over the publication of the letter.

In fairness, do these look like two guys who knew each other well enough to send birthday cards? pic.twitter.com/aPIA6CszMw
