Five men arrested on terrorism offenses near UK airbase used for US strikes on Iran – POLITICO

LONDON — Police have arrested five men on suspicion of terrorism offenses after stopping three suspicious vehicles driving towards RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, south-west England.

Gloucestershire Police on Sunday said that police received a call at around 12:45 a.m. “related to three suspicious vehicles traveling towards RAF Fairford.”

Armed officers responded and arrested five men on suspicion of committing offenses under the Explosives Act.
