UK Labour MP’s husband arrested in Chinese spying probe – POLITICO
· POLITICOLONDON — The husband of a Labour MP is among three men arrested Wednesday on suspicion of assisting the Chinese foreign intelligence service.
In a statement the MP for East Kilbride and Strathaven Joani Reid — whose husband David Taylor was arrested by counter-terrorism police — said: “I have never seen anything to make me suspect my husband has broken any law.”
The Metropolitan Police earlier on Wednesday said a 39-year-old man was arrested in London, and a 68-year-old man and 43-year-old man were arrested in Wales.
