Russian drone hits passenger train headed from Kyiv to Warsaw – POLITICO
by Kathryn Carlson · POLITICOBRUSSELS — Russian drones attacked a crossing point on the Polish-Ukrainian border on Sunday morning, hitting a passenger train two kilometers from the frontier in Volyn Oblast.
Ukraine’s state rail operator confirmed that a strike hit the locomotive of a passenger train bound for Warsaw. The train crew were warned of the threat in advance by Ukrainian authorities and no one was injured, the operator added.
Separately, social media videos showed a large fire at a gas station near the Yahodyn–Dorohusk crossing point between Ukraine and Poland. According to local media, there are no reports yet of casualties from the gas station fire.
