'There Is No Proof', Thomas Markle's Daughter, Samantha Defends Dad Over Child Abuse Allegations

Meghan Markle's estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., is reportedly being investigated after a large collection of child abuse material was discovered among his belongings in the Philippines. According to reports, Thomas Sr.’s son, Thomas Jr., found the materials in several boxes and turned them over to local police. Police have been investigating the 82-year-old retired Hollywood lighting director ever since his son reported him.

Amid Thomas Markle’s alleged child abuse investigation, his daughter, Samantha Markle, came out in her father’s defense. She accused her brother, Thomas Markle Jr., of fabricating facts, as he doesn’t have an airtight case regarding where the adult content originated. Speaking about the same, she told Daily Mail:

“My brother first came out with these lies a few weeks ago when the cash from my dad was cut off. He has used dad as a cash cow for years, and once the money stopped, he made up the most outrageous lies he could to try and make money from the media. He wants to destroy our dad. Shame on him.”

In the same conversation, Samantha, Meghan Markle’s half-sister, revealed that her brother was cut off from their father’s finances and “wants revenge.” She further revealed that her dad was in a rehabilitation facility and had no access to computers. Stating that the case is made up with room for a lot of tampering, Samantha said:

“There is no proof my dad downloaded any images. Those computers were out of his possession for two years. That leaves a lot of room for tampering. These are unsubstantiated allegations. Anyone could have accessed those computers over a couple of years. Dad was in a rehabilitation facility and did not have access to those computers.”

Not just Samantha, but her partner, Mark Phillips, also spoke about the case and revealed that Thomas Markle Jr. has tried to malign Thomas Sr.’s reputation on multiple occasions. Phillips also said the evidence was tampered with, as Thomas Sr. “wasn’t in possession of those computers for at least two years.” Phillips claimed that because Thomas Jr. ran out of money and his dad had also cut off his finances, he resorted to a nasty trick.

For the unversed, Thomas Sr. is currently allegedly under investigation for child abuse after Thomas Jr. reportedly discovered “hundreds, if not thousands” of child sex abuse images in the Philippines home the father and son once shared. The content reportedly consisted of videos and photographs of young girls. Thomas Jr. said the discovery left him horrified and prompted him to contact authorities and claimed, ‘I have supported, cared for him and helped him for years — but that stops now.’

Thomas Jr. first contacted the FBI and authorities in Pennsylvania in July, then raised his concerns with detectives in Cebu. No criminal charges have been announced, and the allegations have not been established in court. An insider close to the Duchess of Sussex, who has been estranged from her father for years, told a news outlet, “Now maybe people will finally understand why she has had nothing to do with her father since 2018.”
