by Saakshi Gupta · BollywoodShaadisThe Beckham family feud is showing no signs of slowing down again. Earlier, the fallout news came out in whispers until Brooklyn Beckham turned into a publicised battle with to-and-fro claims from both sides. Recently, after the 26-year-old released a long statement explaining what went wrong between him and his parents, netizens were particularly stunned to learn that his mother, Victoria, "hijacked" his first dance and danced inappropriately with him. Amid the curiosity, the wedding's DJ has finally spilt the beans from that evening.
Brooklyn Beckham's wedding DJ breaks the silence on the awkward 'first dance' moment
The latest person to enter the Beckham family drama has been the Beckhams' family long-term DJ Fan Tony, who was hired to perform at Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz's lavish three-day wedding in Palm Beach in April 2022. He sat down for a conversation with ITV on January 23, 2026, and addressed Brooklyn's claim that his mother, Victoria, took over his first dance meant for his wife, Nicola. Sharing his side of the story, the veteran DJ said:
"There was no s**t dropping, there was no black PVC catsuits, there was no Spice Girl action....The word inappropriate, why I said it was inappropriate as well ... it was the timing."
Further, Fan Tony explained that he has been flooded with questions since the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham released his tell-all statement. According to him, the awkwardness of Brooklyn's dance with his mother, Victoria, was not about how she danced, but about the timing. He recalled that, at the event, singer March Anthony was a close friend of the Beckham clan and called Brooklyn when a Latin song was playing, but, unlike everyone expected, he called Victoria instead of Nicola for the first dance.
The veteran DJ added that Marc Anthony reportedly asked Brooklyn to place his hands on his mother's hips in a traditional Latin dance move, which made the moment feel even more uncomfortable. Consequently, unlike rumours suggested, there was no outrageous dancing, but the timing made it inappropriate. Recalling the scene, he said:
"Brooklyn's stuck there on stage, and then they do this dance, and Marc Anthony's like going, 'Put your hands on your mother's hips,' and it's Latin, it was a Latin thing. The whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room."
Will the Beckham family reconcile after Brooklyn Beckham's bold allegations?
Apart from the wedding dance, Fan Tony also discussed the broader family situation. He drew parallels from his experience and understanding of not speaking to his father for decades. Subsequently, suggested that while emotions are running high, reconciliation is still possible in the future. He believes the Beckhams will speak again at some point, but the current noise needs to die down first.
