'Baahubali: The Epic' First Reviews, Netizens Call 4-Hour Film A 'Masterpiece' After IMAX Screening

After almost a decade, the blockbuster film, Baahubali is all set to return to the theatres on October 31, 2025. For those who don't know, SS Rajamouli and Prabhas became superstars in 2015, with the release of the film, Baahubali: The Beginning and the 2017 film, Baahubali: The Conclusion. And now since Baahubali: The Epic, the combination of both films is about to release in theatres, read on to know the first reviews of the film. 

Plot of the film, Baahubali: The Epic

Baahubali: The Epic brings back the story of SS Rajamouli's two-part film, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. The upcoming film will stitch both these films into one single with remastered theatrical experience. The film opens with a drowning infant, 'Mahendra', rescued and raised by the tribal 'Amburi' community. 

Curious about the world beyond, he climbs a huge mountain and meets 'Avanthika', a rebel fighting to free 'Princess Devasena' from the cruel king, 'Bhallaladeva'. 'Mahendra' joins her mission and soon learns that he is actually the son of the noble prince 'Amarendra Baahubali', who was betrayed and killed. To take the revenge of his father, 'Mahendra' returns to save the kingdom and he fights 'Bhallaladeva' to restore the peace of Mahishmati.

The film, Baahubali: The Epic is directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Prasad Devineni, Shobhu Yarlagadda and K Raghavendra Rao. The film stars talented actors like Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar and more.

On October 30, 2025, a lot of Baahubali fans took to their X (formerly Twitter) handles to share their thoughts on the film, Baahubali: The Epic. Almost all the users on social media appreciated the re-edited film and described the theatrical experience as one of the ‘craziest’ experiences. One user commented, "Properly optimized for IMAX, no degradation in image or sound quality, doesn't look like a cheap rerelease cash grab. Thank you @ssrajamouli and team for presenting the world of Baahubali for us and the world, again."

Is Baahubali: The Epic worth watching?

If the first reviews are to be believed, the 2025 film, Baahubali: The Epic is going to be an amazing experience for all the Baahubali fans. The remastered 3-hour-45-minute presentation that’s been colour-graded, sound-upgraded and paced for one sitting is expected to be an incredible cinematic experience.
