Ankit Baliyan's Sister Shares Reel With Him On Instagram, Hours After His Death, 'Bhai Ye Kya Hua..'

A 35-year-old YouTuber, Ankit Baliya, who was also known for his hit Haryanvi songs, died in a shootout at his gym. People are left in shock, especially his family and as his mother protested with his dead body on the streets, his sister shared an Instagram Reel with him just hours after his death.

On August 26, 2026, Ankit Baliyan was shot dead right after he stepped out of the gym. He was heading to his home when the shootout happened, and he had no chance to escape. Ankit Baliyan's sister, Anshu Baliyan, took to her Instagram handle and shared an IG Reel. In the clip, Anshu was seen walking with her brother Ankit, who was flaunting his body.

Anshu wore a red jacket and blue denim. On the other hand, Ankit was dressed up in a beige-hued T-shirt with contrasting jeans. She put a trending song, 'Yaar Sada' sang by Harman. Atop the video, Anshu wrote, "Bhai ye kya hua, subah baat bhi hui thi teri meri." Sharing the post, Anshu captioned it as:

"Miss you Bhai re."

In another post, Anshu shared the news of his death, and penned, "Bhai". As per reports, Ankit was shot dead at around 7 pm while he was leaving the gym and heading towards his home. As per police, the attackers opened fire on him before he could flee from the scene. Some claim that there were 15-20 rounds fired at him, and he sustained multiple bullet injuries and was declared dead after he was taken to the hospital. 

The Shamli police received information about the shooting through Dial 112. Later, a team from Shamli Kotwali police station reached the spot and took custody of the body. They initiated the proceedings of the Panchaytnama and postmortem. They have formed multiple teams to idenity and arrest the accused person. Investigators are also examining the camera footage from the area to identify who was involved in the shootout.

For the unversed, Ankit Baliyan shared an extremely close bond with his sister, Anshu Baliyan. He shared his first Instagram post with his sister. On January 25, 2026, Ankit shared a photo with his sister, Anshu, and it looks like her wedding photo, as she was decked up in a red-hued lehenga with golden detailing. 

After the shootout, many local residents blocked the road and demanded the immediate arrest of the attackers. Not only that, but Baliyan's mother also sat on the road with her son's body and demanded justice for her son and refused to perform his last rites. For those who don't know, Ankit was known for his Haryanvi songs, including Bhari Court Mein Goli Marenge Meri Jaan. He was also famous for his roadshows and his YouTube content. 

As per reports, he was also preparing to take part in the upcoming district panchayat elections. Police are investigating the matter, but the motive behind his murder is not yet known.

Netizens also shared their pain as they took to X. One user wrote, "Famous YouTuber, influencer, and Haryanvi singer Ankit Baliyan was shot dead in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. As he stepped out after working out at the gym, the assailants unleashed a hail of bullets, lulling him into the sleep of death. After gaining fame through his songs, Ankit Baliyan was about to enter politics, but before that could happen, his enemies ended his life. So far, no gang has claimed responsibility for his murder."
