Ranbir Kapoor On 3-Yr-Old Daughter, Raha Asking Questions About Ramayan, Wonders If He Met Hanuman

Ranbir Kapoor opened up about shooting for 'Ramayan', and how his daughter, Raha would end up asking him a lot of questions about the same.

Bollywood actor, Ranbir Kapoor is all set with his role as 'Ram' in Nitesh Tiwari's film, Ramayan, which is being called one of the most ambitious projects of Bollywood. However, this experience has shaped Ranbir Kapoor's journey as per reports he has been following 'Ram's path. Amidst it, Ranbir revealed how it is his three year old daughter, Raha who is even more fascinated to hear stories from the epic.

It was during the teaser launc, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that his three-year-old daughter, Raha has been even more curious to hear stories of ramayan. He shared that he would come home after shoots, and he would narrate parts of the story to Raha which increased her interest in the story of Ramayan. He stated that it was in their DNA. Ranbir also revealed that Raha would often ask questions about Lord Hanuman and Goddess Sita. He was quoted as saying:

"I was extremely blessed to have this opportunity that coincided with me becoming a father. On one side, I am going to work and play Lord Rama, but I am also going home and telling my daughter, Raha, stories about Ramayana."

Ranbir revealed that Ramayan influenced his life as a father. The role not only gave a professional milestone, but also something that shaped his bond with his daughter. His experience proves how cinema has the capacity to change his personal life. 

Ranbir Kapoor's film, Ramayan is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. In the film, Ranbir plays the role 'Lord Ram' while Sai Pallavi will be seen as 'Goddess Sita'. It will also feature Yash and Ravi Dubey. The film will be released in two parts and will be developed as a large-scale cinematic experience, which will give visual effects and appeal to a global audience.

Ranbir and Alia started dating each other in 2018. The couple wanted to get married, but their plans kept being postponed, and in 2022, the duo made headlines with their simple wedding at Ranbir's place. After which, the couple welcomed their daughter, Raha in November 2022. Last year, the Kapoor family moved into their family bungalow, Krishna Raj. It is a six-storey family home in Pali Hill, and is named after Ranbir's late grandmother, Krishna Raj Kapoor. It took many years for the bungalow to get completed and has already become one of the most exciting residences in the city. Now, Ranbir is reunited with his mother, as the family is living together in a luxurious space.

Raha is already the star of the family; her grandfather, Mahesh Bhatt, once revealed that he shot an ad campaign with his granddaughter, who has her own vanity van. During the interview with Humans of Bombay, Mahesh Bhatt called Raha's vanity van a 'temple', which he didn't want to contaminate. He stated that it looked like a nursery classroom. He was quoted as saying:

"She just went to Milan for the Gucci event, carrying her daughter with her. I recently did an ad with her and Mr Bachchan. I saw that there was a vanity which was for Raha. And Alia says, ‘Why don’t you go an sit in Raha’s room papa?’ I didn’t want to contaminate it. It had the feeling of a nursery school. It almost looked like a temple. I said, ‘No, no, no, the old man has no place there’. But that’s the new-age heroines. They go to work, they’re parenting, they go to Gucci events carrying their baby with them."
