Guardiola Wins 12th Premier League Manager Of The Month Award

Spanish tactician, Pep Guardiola has reached another personal milestone after being named the Premier League Manager of the Month for February 2026.

The Manchester City boss was recognised for an impressive February in which his side went unbeaten and gathered momentum in the Premier League title race.

The award is Guardiola’s 12th Manager of the Month honour in the Premier League. That tally moves him ahead of David Moyes, the former Manchester United manager who previously shared the mark with 11.

Guardiola now sits alone in third place in the competition’s all-time standings. Only Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger remain ahead, with 27 and 15 awards respectively.

While the Spaniard has enjoyed sustained success since arriving in England, this latest recognition also marks the end of a long wait. His previous Manager of the Month award came in December 2021.

City’s strong February campaign proved decisive. The champions recorded 13 points, the highest total in the league during the month.

The run began with a draw against Tottenham Hotspur before Guardiola’s side found their rhythm. Victories followed against Liverpool, Fulham, Newcastle United and Leeds United as City climbed the table.

Guardiola saw off competition from several rivals for the monthly prize, including Keith Andrews of Brentford, Michael Carrick of Manchester United and Arne Slot of Liverpool.

It completed a rewarding month for Manchester City. Naija News reports that the club’s forward Antoine Semenyo was also named the Player of the Month for February.
