I Lost My Father, Wife – Iran’s New Supreme Leader Vows Revenge

Naija News reports that in the address, he urged citizens to stay united as the country recovers from recent conflict and loss.
Speaking on state television, he expressed sorrow for families who lost loved ones and promised support for those affected by the damage caused during the unrest.
Khamenei reflected on his personal losses during the attacks, including the deaths of his father, the former supreme leader, his wife, and other family members.
He also mentioned the tragic losses suffered by his sister.
He described enduring these hardships through faith and patience as crucial, framing personal grief alongside the national suffering experienced by many Iranians.
The new leader acknowledged the courage of citizens who opposed external threats and called on everyone to remain resilient despite the challenges.
He said: “I lost my father, I lost my wife. My sister lost her child as well as her husband. We have to protect this unity and this is only possible when we are together and we find common ground. Faith and patience are essential to enduring such trials. It is not only about him, it is about every single countryman that has been killed during the recent war. I share this with the people who have lost their loved ones.
“It makes it easier for us to endure all these plights to trust the grace of God. Patience is going to resolve it. I assure everyone that we will not ignore the fact that we are going to revenge our martyrs. It is not only about the fact that they martyred our supreme leader. I praise citizens from all walks of life who stood against the enemy.”
