Thai Prime Minister officially welcomes President U Min Aung Hlaing on official visit to Thailand

President U Min Aung Hlaing, who arrived in Thailand on an official visit on the morning of August 6, was accorded an official welcome ceremony by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at Government House.

At the invitation of Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, President U Min Aung Hlaing is leading a Myanmar delegation on an official visit to Thailand from August 6 to 7.

During the welcoming ceremony, an honour guard of the Royal Thai Armed Forces lined both sides of the red carpet and rendered a salute in accordance with the traditional protocol for receiving heads of state, while a 21-gun salute was fired in honour of the President.

During the visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and attend the Myanmar–Thailand Economic Forum 2026.
